Acoustic Blues Repertoire: Ragtime Blues
This class will feature new repertoire from previous workshops, including the music and playing styles of the great ragtime players including Blind Blake, Willie Walker and Blind Boy Fuller. Woody will demonstrate and teach ways to develop a syncopated picking technique, how to get the 'texture' and swing of the music, and ways to create variations within a tune. This is a class for people who are comfortable with basic alternating picking and are looking to enhance their playing with fresh and exciting new repertoire.
